Happy Monday! After 3 wedding weekends all in a row, I am ready to start catching up with some more new work on the blog.
If there’s anything worth knowing about who I am, its that I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve loved dogs since I was born (need proof?). My entire book collection included Lassie, Old Yeller, Where the Red Fern Grows, Because of Winn Dixie and the animal club books I used to get every month in the mail! My room was covered with posters and calendar photos of dogs. Obsessed is putting it lightly. So for the longest time when I started my photography career, I hoped and dreamed of including more pets in my shoots.
When Caitlin & Jimmy asked if they could bring along their two beautiful Golden Retrievers for their Engagement session, they had no idea just how happy they made me! We met at Rock Creek Regional Park, a pet-friendly location, and spent the day walking the dogs and pausing for some adorable photos. The entire session had a fun and playful mood and I was highly impressed by how well-behaved their dogs were 🙂
When I shared some of the images from Caitlin & Jimmy’s session, a bunch of my other couples asked if they, too, could bring their pets along to their shoot. I’m happy to have found such a wonderful niche: 20-somethings who love their four-legged friends!
Can’t wait to see this fun-loving couple again at the end of November when they say “I do!”
