With the school year starting back up, I have been reminiscing about those sweet college days at JMU. I can just imagine how lively campus is this week with students hustling across the quad and piling into the dining halls. Campus is probably dressed to the nines with perfectly manicured lawns and flower beds. Soon enough the valley will change colors and the crisp air will roll down from the adjacent mountains to welcome in fall.
Back in May, when we took Kristine and Casey’s Engagement pictures, campus had a very different feel. It was the end of the semester and summer was about to begin. There were a few groups of seniors taking pictures in their caps and gowns, but for the most part, it was quiet. I was thankful we could take pictures while campus was empty, but I missed the commotion of student life, too.
So to get my JMU fix today, I have been going through Kristine & Casey’s pictures and taking a mental walk around campus. I wanted to share them today for all of you JMU alum who want to relive your glory days as Duuuuuukes. In less than two weeks, we will be back in Harrisonburg because it’s time for Kristine and Casey to say “I do” at one of my favorite venues, Crosskeys Vineyards.
