Abby and Henry were married this past April in our hometown of Waynesboro, Virginia. It was great to be back where we grew up together and see familiar faces of those who came out to celebrate the love of these two wonderful people. I was so excited that the rain held off for a while and we were able to take some incredible portraits with their bridal party out in the field next to the church. Abby’s whole bridal look had me head-over-heels: from her Moonlight Bridal gown with tulle skirt, to the gold + floral intertwined headpiece, and her darling scalloped Lauren Conrad ballet flats.
After you photograph a large number of weddings, you start to realize what parts of the day you like to shoot. For me, I love the alone time I get to share with the Bride + Groom when we can focus solely on creating beautiful portraits. They have raw and effortless emotion and I always feel like I am catching a glimpse into an intimate moment between lovers. This was no different for Abby + Henry. I could see the emotion take hold during their First Look and continue to grow as the day went on and I love how their portraits turned out in the end!
Congratulations to The Pannells! Here’s to the many years ahead.
